Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe Wind Direction: sw Wind Stength: 15/20 Surf / Sea State: lumpy Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: 5 Weather: cloudy Max Speed: 25.65 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 12.33 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Arranged to meet Peter Cutts at The Dip and the direction was fine dead
side shore with wind nearly all the way to the beach. The tide was still
fairly low making this the flatist part of the day but cloudy and only 9
degrees :( we both rigged big freeride kit and braved the sea - when I fell
on my first gybe - nothing new there !!! the sea was so'oooooooooooooooo
cold I thought my heart would stop :( just over 5 degrees isn't great !!!
With this being my first shortboard session since 31st Dec 2012 and fully
kited out with gloves, hood, helmut etc I was only doing a few runs before
returning to shore to warm up !!! Going fast was difficult in the lumpy sea
but we made the best of the conditions - the sun only coming out when we
packed up !!! it warmed up a few degrees then. Not a bad turn out for a
cold Tuesday with me and Peter, Stephen Miller,Darren Thurston,Phil
Trett,Alasdair Parker and Mark Smalling :)
